If you have been thinking of joining Giving2Grow, but need a little motivation to get that check written, please consider the following deadlines:
June 30th: deadline to ensure your membership of $500 will be granted back out in the 2014 cycle. Memberships received after this date may be rolled over to the 2015 cycle, depending on the number and quality of grant proposals we receive by Sept. 1st, 2014. (The date of disbursement will not affect your tax status.)
Sept 1st: deadline to be directly involved in the grant assessment process. We will be very busy as the grants come in, and will need lots of members(we will train you!) to read the applications, and then more to make visits to the non-profits that make the first cut. This will be exciting work, but only paid members can participate.
November 5th, Annual Membership meeting: deadline to cast your vote for which organizations receive grants from Giving2Grow. This privilege is reserved for paid G2G members only, and is one of the leading reasons giving circles are unique in the world of philanthropy. We decide collectively how we want to spend our charitable dollars.
December 31st: If you pay your membership by the end of the year 2014, you will automatically be listed as a Founding Member of Giving2Grow! Don’t miss this opportunity to join the first wave of this group of visionary women!
